It is usual to come across news of money being robbed from ATM machines, however, this time the robbers were not humans rather they were little animals.
According to reports surfacing on International media, Rs 1.3 million have been chewed up by mice from inside an ATM in India.
A private security company deposited a sum of Rs 1.3 million inside the ATM in India’s Assam on May 19. On June 11, after a gap of around 20 days, the company re-opened the ATM and found, to their shock, the entire sum chewed up by rats.
The rare and shocking incident took place in Assam’s Tinsukia Laipuli area where the ATM machine had gone out of order on the day following the deposit of money.
Indian police has lodged a case of the incident and is investigating it further.
