Ae Mere Humsafar, Let’s Go To Hunza This Summer!!

With Ramadan ending and Eid just around the corner, it’s officially time to pack those bags and hit the mountains (I hear the mountains are echoing!) Flee the heat as soon as you can because the temperature’s not going down any time soon,and what better way to escape heat than the ever so cool, so peaceful, our beloved mountains!

Pakistan is undeniably beautiful, a tormented body with a soul that captivates all! Still making its mark on the map, Pakistan has scenic beauties hidden in the North and just one of them is what we have for you to explore this summer – HUNZA!

Just below Khunjerab pass, Hunza valley is an art of The Supreme, with breath taking views and long standing gigantic mountains that come in all shapes and BIG sizes. Those giants will make you skip a beat or two, keep water with you at all times. Embrace the mountains, and you’ll have memories that you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Book in Serena or in Eagle Nest, both will give you a view that your eyes will remember for many years to come. The giants stand in all their glory, few wearing white capes while the rest celebrate their colour- brown! Each screaming to tell a story and I assure you; you’ll sit down to listen. Imagine waking up to them with a cup of tea in your hand, wind blowing in your hair, your loved ones beside you- what else are holidays for?

If giants don’t please you don’t you worry, Attabad Lake will mesmerize you not just with its angelic view but with its story too. Formed in 2010, after a massive landslide hit Attabad valley, the lake will make you forget Saif-ul-Malook, no competition but oh what a wonder it is! Situated between the mountains with lush blue water- don’t put your feet for too long the water is freezing even in summers! The boat ride will take you between the mountains and oh you’ll have a ride of your life! We hear something sweet is opening up there soon as well!! Hurry up you might get a freshly baked cookie skillet with a divine view!

Just beside the lake, is built the longest tunnel you’ll ever come across in Pakistan. Five tunnels built on 24km long portion of the Karakoram Highway will leave you with “Ooo’s and Aahhh’s”

Shopoholic? Karimabad Bazaar has the finest handcraft shops; from handmade carpets, to table runners to lamps to jewelry, everything’s a must have!! Just in case you get hungry with the entire shopping stop by Café De Hunza, the famous eatery in town!
