Aishwarya Rai to essay Indian Madonna in upcoming movie

Bollywood starlet Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has always graced Indian film industry with stellar performances, bagging quite a lot of accolades to her name. The versatile actress never fails to win the hearts of the audience with her on screen acting.

The Ae Dil Hai Mushkil star will now be featured as a glamorous singer and dancer in upcoming Bolly flick, Fanney Khan, according to a leading Indian tabloid.

The film directed by debutante, Atul Manrejkar, will be starring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao along with Aishwarya in titular roles.

The director revealed that the ace actress will begin shooting for a song this week wherein she will be essaying Indian Madonna.

"Aishwarya plays a huge pop icon who’s extremely popular with the youngsters. Her character is a fabulous dancer and singer who performs on the global stage", the director said while talking to Indian media.

Manrejkar also revealed that the sound track will be choreographed by eminent American choreographer, Frank Gatson Jr, popularly known to have worked with Bollywood A-listers.

He said, ‘While fleshing out her character, we began referencing a bunch of choreographers who do international live shows. Frank is among the best in the world and we decided to approach him.’

Fanney Khan is scheduled to hit silver screens on August 3 this year.

Aishwarya was last seen in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
