Alia Bhatt’s Mother Reveals ‘Somebody’ Tried To Rape Her On Set.

MUMBAI – Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt’s mother Soni Razdan on Thursday recalled her sad memory when ‘somebody’ tried to rape her during a film shoot.

Razdan narrated, "I have been very lucky in the sense that I haven’t faced it very obviously when I have gone and approached someone for work. But I have faced it in other directions.”

“Like there was an incident that happened to me when I was on a film shoot once and somebody tried to rape me for example, you know, that kind of a thing. Luckily, they didn’t succeed but it was like....you know the only reason why I never said anything at that time and it sounds really odd maybe but I realised that if I had opened my mouth then that person would have gone through a lot of problem, he had a family and small children. And at that time, I said okay, nothing really happened, I managed to control it, but obviously I never spoke to that person again,” she added.

Responding to the question regarding not raising her voice against the issue, Razdan said, “I didn’t not talk about it because of shame or anything like that. I felt that I would be hurting his family whom I knew.”
