Amir Khan Inaugurated the Super Boxing League in Pakistan

The legendary boxer Amir Khan launched Pakistan’s first professional boxing league in a stellar occurrence in June  2018.

The initiative is steered by the idea of two-time global champion Amir Khan. The eminent British business magnate “Bill Dosanjh” is the main supporter of the league. 

The great initiative is suitably named “Super Boxing League”. 

Salman Iqbal and  Amir Khan will join hands together as boxing league’s chairpersons and work tirelessly to make it an eventual success. The eight teams will be lead by many cricket enthusiasts and entertainment industry celebrities.

The squads are termed after major cities of the Pakistan including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Faisalabad, Multan, Sialkot and Quetta. Each team will comprise of 10 male members and 2 female members to grasp the fortress for their corresponding franchises.

Of the eight teams, Pakistan’s all-rounder cricketer Shahid Afridi owns Pakhtoon Warriors, the fabulous pacer Wasim Akram accepted Multan Nawabs, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan holds Faisalabad Falcons, while CEO ARY Digital Network Salman Iqbal and actor Fahad Mustafa together owns Karachi Cobras.  

The views of Amir Khan reveals his intentions to extend apt training to the budding boxers of Pakistan which is expected to create extraordinary Pakistani world champs. “I believe Pakistan can produce many Muhammad Alis,”  Amir Khan acknowledged in a speech at the proclamation of the league.

Super Boxing League (SBL) Pakistan will be operated in association with Punjab Sports Board (PSB) & World Boxing Council (WBC) from September 28, 2018 to November 03, 2018 at the Amir Khan Boxing Academy in Islamabad. The league will start and continue for six weeks in  great spirit.

Each of the six matches will consist of 5 male members and 1 female member. 

The league, in its first period, will accept a various talents. This great initiative is sure to elevate the image of Pakistan in sports at global level.
