There comes the great news for people of Karachi that the world’s largest icecream chain specialty brand Baskin-Robbins has opened its first store in Karachi at 3Com Tower, opposite Bilawal Chowrangi. The opening followed a small ceremony and inauguration attended by various celebrities and politicians.
Former senator Javed Jabar also attended the ceremony and was of the view that it’s good to see entrepreneurship is developing in a country like Pakistan. He hoped that it will be great for Pakistan’s economy and creating employment opportunities as many other international brands are entering Pakistani market gradually. A good number of children from SOS Village of Karachi were entertained by Baskin-Robbins as its opening treat.
Baskin-Robbins has already entered Pakistan when it started from Lahore. The brand now has four outlets, three in Lahore and the fourth was opened today in Karachi. First 31 customers coming to the shop will have the opportunity to win free ice cream for a year while the next 100 customers will have free ice-cream for next 31 days.
The brand signed an agreement with AHG Flavours (PVT) Limited and further work will be done for the development of the brand in Pakistan. The officials believe the brand will open more stores in Pakistan. However, Baskin-Robbins will organise the official ceremony of opening on June 7, after Iftar.
