Deepika Padukone Finalized for Remake of Late Sridevi's Blockbuster Movie

Deepika Padukone is the highest paid actress of Bollywood and is one of the biggest female superstars of the industry at the moment. She is riding high on success of Padmaavat that released earlier this year on January 25. Deepika has taken a much deserved break from work amongst reports that she is weighing on her options and wants to make the best career decision after her amazing portrayal of Rani Padmaavati’s role.

Recent news reports suggest that Deepika is all set to star in the remake of one of late Sridevi’s biggest blockbuster hit movies. Whilst the name of the movie is still not uncovered, it is being said that it was one of the most popular and celebrated movies of Sridevi. If rumors are to be believed, Deepika has already been finalized for her role and the movie is in early stages of production too.

The guessing game is now ON! Sridevi served as one of the biggest actresses of her times and has given back to back successful movies in her career span including movies like Chandni, Lamhay, Mr. India, Naagin, Judaai and the list is endless! 

It will be interesting to see which movie has been selected for a remake with Deepika as the lead role. 

Let’s not forget that Deepika also has India’s first female-centered superhero action movie in her to-do-list as well. The movie is expected to release in the later in 2019.
