It was a real-life fairytale when American actress Meghan Markle got married to Royalty Prince Harry of Wales in an intimate yet dreamy ceremony on May 9, 2018.
The two met through mutual friends back in 2016 and after a whirlwind romance, Prince Harry popped the question. The two got engaged to be married in November 2017 and after a media frenzy, finally became man and wife earlier last month.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle became the Duke and Duchess of Sussex on the day of their wedding. The titles were gifted to them according to Royal tradition by the Queen Her Majesty.
Meghan Markle had been very visibly involved with the Royal family as she attended several official engagements prior to her wedding alongside Harry and the rest of the Royal family members. She was attending all these events as the Royal fiancé of the prince. So of course, she is not new to the entire thing.
All eyes were however on when would be able to see the young couple out and about in public carrying off official Royal duties. It was much speculated that it will not happen till the time they return from the honeymoon. However, much to everyone’s delight the Duke and Duchess made their first appearance together as a married couple 2 days after their wedding. They accompanied Prince Charles and Duchess of Cornwall Camilla on the grounds of Buckingham Palace for an early public celebration of Prince Charles’ birthday.
They had then left for their honeymoon only returning a few days back to London. Today, the new Duchess was seen in her first official engagement after returning from honeymoon. She was accompanied by her husband, the duke and duchess of Cambridge and the entire Royal family. They were celebrating the trooping of colors in honor of the Queen’s 92nd Birthday.
The one thing that we couldn’t help but admire about Meghan was her sudden change of style. She looked like she had walked right of a classic British novel. A true epitome of elegance and class; she made sure all eyes were on her. She was dressed in a peach dress with a day hat. Her signature messy bun was replaced with a shoulder length brand-new haircut that was styled with soft curls.
She rode to Buckingham Palace with her husband and the Duke of Kent. She looked as calm and composed as ever but there was just a renewed sense of subtle glamor about her like never before. She stood looked picture perfect as she stood alongside her husband and the rest of the royal family on the Buckingham Palace balcony.
