Ex-prime Ministes Abbasi fine for over-speeding

Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was fined for over-speeding on Monday.

Abbasi’s driver Syed Maqsood was driving the car when they were intercepted by the Punjab Motorway Police personnel near Lahore’s Ravi Toll Plaza.

Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader was handed a speeding ticket of Rs.750.

Abbasi not only paid the fine but also obliged a request by the personnel for a couple of pictures. The selfies have been making rounds on social media.

Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was elected Prime Minister of the country after Nawaz Sharif was ousted by the Supreme Court in July last year for corruption charges.

Abbasi served as the leader of the house for ten months. Prior to that, he was federal minister for petroleum and gas.

The ‘Abbasi dynasty’ ended as the PML-N-ruled government completed its term on May 31st, only to be the second consecutive democratic rule to conclude its term in time in last three decades.
