Grand Democratic Alliance want elections on time.

In the recent statement from the general secretary of Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) Ayaz Lafif Palijo that they want the elections to be held on time 25 July in a free, fair, and transparent way.

Ayaz Lafif is also the president of the Qaumi Awami Tehreek told the media that GDA has so far received the 160 applications for the tickets of the GDA in elections 2018, he cleared that 60 applications are received for the National Assembly’s seat in Sindh and 100 for the Sindh Assembly. The Alliance is motivated to contest in the elections 2018 from Ghotki to Tharparkar and from there to Karachi, he further revealed his plan of contesting from the PS-62 Qasimabad as a GDA general secretary.

He expressed his reservations on the caretaker chief minister of Sindh Mr. Fazl ur Rahman as a former bureaucrat, he also pointed towards the removing of existing senior superintendents of police and deputy commissioners who in the past remained loyal to PPP and obtained undue favors from them. GDA requested the I.G Sindh A.D Khawaja to prove his impartiality in general elections because people supported him when People’s Party were against him.

At the end of this weekend, he held this press conference in Hyderabad where he asked election commission of Pakistan to follow the Lahore High Court regarding their order on nomination forms. Suggesting the ECP he further conveys the caveat about the returning officers along with the presiding officers in Sindh. He wants the staff to work free from any kind of pressure in an independent manner. Pointed many failed officers of the previous elections held in Sindh, who failed to ensure the transparency.

He blamed Pakistan People’s Party of their huge blunders of governance and also their corruption stories resounding in the province for last 10 years Party’s rule in the province, GDA will contest with the symbol of ‘star’, issued by the Election commission of Pakistan, people from different parties with towering names are in contact with the chief of Grand democratic Alliance Pir Sibghatullah Shah Rashdi Pir Pagaro also the spiritual leader of Hur Jamaat. He is also the head of Pakistan Muslim League-Functional. Many bright names have filled the forms and many are asked to fill the nomination forms, the candidates would be decided by the alliance on 10 June 2018.
