Iss Ramadan - Anaar Khao, Jaan Banao!

We are nearing Ramadan and the temperature only seems to be rising. Ramadan is going to be all about praying and staying hydrated throughout. Fruit salads are a mandatory part of every dastarkhaan and what is a fruit chaat without anaar! Many people also enjoy fresh pomegranate juice at time of Aftaar.

Red Pomegranate

Pomegranate, simply known as the red anaar, is a favorite for all Pakistanis! This beautiful red fruit looks ethereal like jeweled stones and tastes even better. The rich and juicy taste is perfect relief from the summer heat. For all the anaar lovers, we have great news.

It recent researches are to be believed, it is being said that red pomegranate help to promote the blood flow throughout the body. It also helps to prevent the blood arteries from clogging or blocking. The blood is kept thin and the consistency of the blood is maintained at a healthy point so that blood reaches all parts of the human body easily. Thinner blood is also easier for the heart to pump. By actually eating your favorite fruit every day this Ramadan, you are helping your health to improve as well!

Let’s not forget that Ramadan is the time of the year when Muslims not only in Pakistan but all around the globe are busy with only two things; praying and eating. In Pakistan, Sehri and Aftaar time is a proper indulgence. It is also Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to consume good food at sunrise and sunset during this Holy Month!

So whilst you indulge in all the goodness of samosas, pakoras and kachoris this Ramadan – make sure you work on the cholesterol level as well so that it does not rise! The best solution is to consume a glass of fresh anaar juice every day or eat it whole.
Anaar Khao, Jaan Banao and make sure you spread the word to all your loved ones too!
