Pakistan Beats Sri Lanka in Women’s Twenty20 Asia Cup 2018.

The match was played at Kinara Academy Oval on 6 June between the winner of already two matches in the tournament,Team Sri Lanka and Pakistani team. Pakistan smacked Sri Lanka by 23 runs.

This is the 7th edition of the Twenty20 Asia Cup for women scheduled between 3 to 10 June 2018 in Malaysia. In the 7th match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, Pakistan performed very well and halted the opposition from maintaining a winning streak, Pakistan Batting first scored 137 runs of 4 wickets. With top scorer Bismah Maroof 60 off 41 balls and remained on the crease as not out striking seven boundaries. The skipper was helped and assisted by the opener Nahida Khan, she made 38 runs off 34 balls and formed a 50 runs partnership as well.

The Sri Lankan team was restricted on just 113 runs at the damage of 9 players due to the marvelous bowling figure of Nida Dar, who destroyed the batting line up of Sri Lanka. She caught 5 wickets for just 21 runs, the best part of match was a time when she took 2 wickets on the last 2 balls of her spell. This was the best performance by  Dar as so far.

The top scorer from the Sri Lankan team was Yasoda Mendis scored 25 runs on 29 balls and Nipuni Hansika who scored 24 on 22 balls.

Next match of the Pakistani team is on 7 June with Malaysia that will be played at Royal Selangor Club, Kuala Lumpur,and following another match on 9 June between the old rival team India, that would be 13th match of the tournament.The final is planned on 10 June at Kinrara Academy Oval, Kuala Lumpur.

Total numbers of the team playing in the Twenty20 Women’s Asia cup are six; Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Malaysia.
