Pakistan to host its Second Film Festival in New York

The two-day event  ‘Second Pakistan Film Festival New York’ is scheduled to begin from 7th July in New York, United States and end on the 9th of July.

The event is being organized by the celebrity icon, Freiha Altaf, in collaboration with Maleeha Lodhi, Pakistani ambassador for the UN.

In an interview with local media, Freiha revealed that around eight films will be screened this year in the festival. She also went on to say that representatives from 193 countries have been invited to the festival to view the products of Pakistani film industry. That's like WOW! We are surely going to make it big.

She further said that this time it is going to be on a larger scale than the previous one.

The first Pakistan Film Festival New York was held in December 2016 where veteran Pakistani actress, Sabeeha Khanum, was honored with life time achievement award.

Dobara Phir Se, Lahore Se Aagey, Actor in Law, Mah-e-Mir, Dukhtar, Dance Kahani, and Ho Mann Jahan were screened at the previous festival in New York.

Oscar winner Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy’s animated movie 3 Bahadur was also screened at the international event.
