Pakistani Designer Sania Maskatiya Showcases Her Collection at NY Fashion Week

KARACHI – First Pakistani fashion designer, Sania Maskatiya displayed her western wear line titled Sania Studio’s Spring/Summer 2019 collection at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) held on September 10.

The Council of Aspiring American Fashion Designers (CAAFD) in collaboration with Fashion Network 2018, handpicked Pakistani designer to showcase her collection on such a platform to broaden her business and branding to the USA.

CAAFD is famous for its rigorous selection process and it is a huge milestone for the Pakistani fashion industry to have a local (Pakistani) designer featuring her work on one of the most prestigious international fashion weeks.

Sania Maskatiya, undoubtedly has become Pakistan’s most lauded and revered designers to get global acclaim in such a short span of time.

While talking to media, Maskatiya said that the demand for designer wears is increasing day by day in Pakistan as now people prefer brands.

Moreover, she informed that Pakistan with the collaboration of UAE has unveiled an international fashion store. This would be a great source to earn capital for our fashion industry, she added.
