PTI Withdraws Nasir Khosa’s Name for Punjab Caretaker CM

Just a day before the current government completes its five-year tenure, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) has withdrawn the  name of Nasir Khosa for the caretaker chief minister in Punjab. The opposition leader of PTI Mehmoodur Rasheed was talking to media in a conference and said that the decision was made in a party meeting chaired by Imran Khan. He further added that the party made a mistake in suggesting the name in haste. He revealed that a new name for the caretaker CM will be announced within 24 hours.

Previously on Monday, the former chief secretary Nasir Saeed Khosa was named as the caretaker CM in a meeting held by CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and Mehmoodur Rasheed. Mr. Khosa has a vast experience of administrative tasks and served as the chief secretary in Balochistan before working as director at World Bank.

The sources have claimed that PTI opposition leader made a serious mistake in selection of the caretaker CM, and allegedly had a deal with CM Shahbaz to bring Nasir Khosa as caretaker CM. But today PTI had a grand meeting and chairman Imran Khan said he is not acceptable as Punjab’s caretaker CM.
