Quick and easy Chicken Alfredo Pasta recipe

We all love Pakistan! There is hardly anyone who would enjoy a bowl of pasta with flavorful chicken and a rich thick gravy sauce. This is what you call heaven in a bowl.

Originally from Italy, Pasta comes in all shapes and sizes. There are more than 100+ different types of pasta dishes that you can enjoy. In fact, there is no particular hard and fast recipe that can be followed to make a yummilicious pasta dish. This is the beauty of it. As a home chef, you can keep modifying the recipe as you make it.

We have a wonderful, quick and easy Chicken Alfredo recipe up our sleeves. It is super quick and does not take a lot of time or effort to make as well.

Cooking Steps

Step 1: Boiling Pasta

The first step is to boil the pasta. You can choose fettuccine pasta strips or penne macaroni for the meal. Put a pot of hot boiling water with salt and olive oil (1 tablespoon) on heat. Allow the water to simmer on slow heat. Put the pasta in the hot boiling water and stir it occasionally. It should not take more than 15 minutes to boil perfectly.

Step 2:  Prepare the chicken strips

Take 1 KG of skinless chicken breast fillets. Cut the fillets diagonally in long strips. Marinate the chicken strips with

  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. ginger and garlic paste
  • 1 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. parsley
  • 1 tbsp. thyme
  • 1 tbsp. ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 tbsp. soy sauce
  • A pinch of chili flake

Step 3: Prepare the sauce

The sauce is the most essential part of the dish because it gives the most powerful taste boost to the meal on the whole. To make the sauce, you will need a stainless steel sauce pan and put 100 grams of butter in the pan. Add springs onions and mushrooms into the melted butter. Sautee for 5 minutes and then add 250 ml of full thick cream, 250 ml of water and 250 ml of all-purpose milk in it. Allow it to combine well on low heat before adding salt and pepper to taste. Add oregano, at least 2 spoons full to the sauce before putting in a pinch of corn flour and allow it to cook for 10 minutes more till it reaches a desired consistency.

Step 4: Combine pasta with chicken

Fry off the marinated chicken strips in a hot pan of butter before adding the boiled pasta to it.

Step 5: Add sauce & serve hot

Add the sauce to the pasta and chicken and allow it to cook so that the chicken becomes tender and juicy. Take it out in a serving dish and serve steaming hot!
