We have entered the final Ashrah (period of 10 days) of Ramazan which is the Ashrah of Laylat-ul-Qadr (The Night of Power). You all must be busy in supplications and other religious practices as we are almost bidding farewell to the blessed month. Hence, I am here with another quick and easy iftar recipe called Potato Cheese Balls to ease you from the stress of cooking in iftar.
Ingredients:
1.Boiled potatoes (5-6)
2. Capsicum ( finely chopped)
3.Onion (finely chopped)
4.Green chillies (finely chopped)
5.Corriander (finely chopped)
6.Red chilli flakes ( 1 tsp)
7.Black pepper ( 1tsp)
8.Dried corriander -crushed (1 tsp)
9.Soya Sauce ( 1tsp)
10.Chaat Masala ( 1tsp)
11.Salt ( as per taste)
12. Egg (one)
13.Bread crumbs ( as required)
14. Mozarella cheese- shredded
Method:
First of all peel the boiled potatoes and mash them properly so that their are no lumps left. Add all the vegetables and spices in it. Now mix them all together. Now make small balls out of the mixture. Add a little amount of shredded mozarella cheese in the middle of the balls before giving them final shape. Now coat each ball in whisked egg and then in bread crumbs. Finally deep fry the balls until they turn golden brown. Your potato cheese balls are ready to serve. Serve them with any sauce or dip of your choice in iftar.
You can also add shredded chicken in the balls to make them taste even better.
The best part about the recipe is that you can prepare the balls whenever you are free and referigerate them. You just have to fry them at the time of Iftari. This save you a lot of time during the day for prayers and other household chores.
