Real Madrid defeated Liverpool to win UEFA Champions League for third consecutive year

Real Madrid has written history to their name and has become the only team to win UEFA Champions League for three consecutive years. No team has ever been able to win 4 champions league in 5 years.

The biggest sports final of the month took place at Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex, Kiev last night between Real Madrid and Liverpool.

Closing ceremony 

It started with an entertaining closing ceremony including a performance by music sensation Dua Lipa who rocked the stage with her new songs and also performed her song called "No Lie” featuring Sean Paul.

Real Madrid played with their best starting 11 while Liverpool’s team came much stronger than ever. The game started in a great and crazy atmosphere. All fans supported their teams and sung team’s anthem in full swing.

No doubt when it comes to seeing the passion people hold in their hearts for football such stages prove to be the best measure of it. 

Kick Off

Real Madrid started little slow however Liverpool pressured and pushed from the start.

Unlucky for Liverpool, Mohammad Salah’s injury in the first half caused them a major blow and Liverpool’s side loses their concentration and started shaking, Real Madrid took the advantage of the moment and pushed forward their team to get in attacking shoes.

Liverpool’s goalkeeper Karius’s poor release allowed Benzema to score in early minutes of second half. It was a shocking yet legal goal that put Real Madrid ahead.

Sadio Mane scored in 55^th minute to level it with Real Madrid but it was not enough to sustain.

Bale came and conquered. 

Gareth Bale was substituted on for Isco. He came on the pitch and changed the dynamics of the game with his two great shots. Bale scored a bicycle kick goal that stunned everyone around the world and gave Real Madrid 2-1 lead, however that was not it and Gareth Bale’s powerful strike from a long distance confused the goalkeeper and found the net.

Liverpool’s inexperienced team could not find a way back and lost the final at Kiev.

Real Madrid won UEFA Champions League final by 3-1 to become the champions for third consecutive years.
