Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecasted that temperature is likely to remain moderate in Karachi till June 9. This is because the impact of the current heat wave has subsided. During this time, temperature may reach as high as 35°Celsius.
According to PMD latest forecast report, the weather will stay pleasant and partially cloudy throughout the upcoming week. Moreover, temperature will remain in the range between 34 and 38°C.
This week the city of lights was engulfed by intense heat wave with temperature soaring to 46°Celsius, after almost 37 years as sea breeze went still.
Weather experts of the country have predicted that there are no more chances of heat wave in Karachi as the wave that ended on Thursday was most probably the last one of the year.
The PMD has, however, assured to issue warning three days prior if such intense heat wave is expected in next two months.
Two spells of heatwave struck Karachi during the holy month of Ramazan during which temperatures soared to 44 and 46°C respectively.
The PMD has predicted hot and humid weather today (Saturday).
