The Eruption of Hawaii’s Kilauea Volcano continues on third week as well.

Mount Kilauea is erupting since 1983 on the Island of Hawaii with elapsed time period, the total of five volcanoes, two of them are inactive, along with Kilauea and two other active mountains, Maunaloa last erupted in 1984 and underwater volcano Loihi that is also erupting since 1996.

Kilauea which is located in the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is counted amongst the active volcanoes of the world, sometimes also referred to as the world’s only drive-in volcano. Normally the Park is open for the visitors daily from 7:45 a.m – 5 p.m, having the volcanic craters, scalded desert and, forest.

The volcano is bustling since three weeks and exploded again on this Monday and Tuesday creating toxic clouds, shooting lava from the fissures into hundreds of feet in the air creating dangerous particles in the air. Most magma is created by the fissure 22. The volcano erupted after several hours to the earthquake of 5.0 magnitude on 3 may 2018 in the district Puna of the Island.

The temperature of the lava is around 1,100 degree, that is gushing from a number of crevices producing methane gas. Hot lava created a river of length 4 miles crossing the highway 137 moving towards the Pacific Ocean.

Volcanic lava has already destructed 37 structures and spread over 117 acres. Lava when interacts  with the ocean water, it produces harmful gas plume known as “Laze”. Injurious to health and breath because it contains microscopic shards of glass. The clouds of the ash are from the Volcano are as high as up to 10,000 feet. The recent eruption just tripled the quantity of sulfur dioxide gas in the air.

Red Cross has also established its emergency cell in the nearest town. Around 2000 people have been evacuated from the island and more are willing to leave soon. The civil defense agency also warns that the condition of the smoke may get worst as the lava flows through vegetation area and grass.

Another treacherous situation came into existence when the fissure 22 lava was approaching towards the Geothermal Power Plant, Officials start quenching process by filling the wells of the power plant with cold water to reduced the menacing stipulation.
