Trump will not attend the climate portion of G7 summit

According to the White House officials, President Trump will leave the G7 summit in Canada several hours early. This is due to an acrimonious spat that ensued between Trump and other members of the G7 summit the night before the summit. Mr. Trump will leave the summit early in order to avoid attending the session on the environment and climate change. A Trump aide will attend that session in the place of Mr. Trump. The announcement to skip the session emerged after a bitter twitter spat took place between the Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, French President, Emanuel Macron, and the United States President, Donald Trump. All of these leaders are set to meet on Friday, June 8. During the trade talks at the summit, Mr. Trump is expecting to stage a knock-down fight with the key US allies. It is the battle he is unconformable ensuing in person; however, he imagines he can win it even when he is outnumbered on the key issues like climate change and trade at the summit. Trump raised his concerns about attending the summit as it is futile after Macron sent combative tweets targeting the policies of Trump administration.

However, skipping the summit and sending an aide on his behalf seems like a weak move in the fight that he started after imposing tariffs and pulling the US out of climate accord and Iran nuclear deal. Therefore, he deemed it necessary to fight Macron's assertion that the other 6 countries can bind together without the United States. In doing so, he once again reminded the world that Canada and France are charging the United States huge lumps of tariffs. He went as far as calling the Mr. Trudeau an "indignant". On this issue, Trump's economic adviser, Larry Kudlow, stated that Mr. Trump is sticking to his guns and even though there are disagreements, he will talk to the leaders at the G7 summit.
